We are excited to announce that DVDs of our Wonderland show are available! Everyone who pre ordered are now able to pick them up at the studio, along with the photos. And if you didn't pre order but wanted to get hold of a copy, you are still able to make a purchase at the studio :)

The DVD's are priced at £6 each.

Studio 79 Christmas Show 2012!

We are excited to finally announce the Studio 79 Christmas show!!

The show is a colourful collection of dances guaranteed to thrill and entertain all ages. It is a reflection of the hard work and commitment that the students have put forward to their training since the start of term and we are excited for the opportunity to celebrate our achievements with the family and friends of the students.

The students of the level three BTEC have had the chance to preview a selection of their work from the show during the two week school tour that the studio embarks upon, and they have received outstanding feedback and praise from all, so we are more than excited to join the students of the level two and three together for the first time to showcase the complete works in this enthusiastic show to end the school term with a bang!

Tickets will soon be on sale, £7 Adults and £5 Concessions.

WONDERLAND

Studio 79 is proud to present our new show - 'Wonderland'!

The show is the annual collection of work gathered from our weekly saturday classes, featuring routines from each age group in a combination of styles. It's a great opportunity for budding performers age 4 and upwards to show off what they can do to their friends and family as we return once again to The Peepul Centre in Leicester City Centre. The groups have worked really hard this year, and we're excited to invite you to explore the world of Wonderland with us.

The show is on Thursday the 29th and Friday the 30th of November, starting at 7:30pm - tickets are on sale from the studio at £6 Adults and £4 Concessions.

The show is also being filmed professionally, so any parents or friends and family who wish to pre order a DVD of the show may do so at the studio, and a collection of rehearsal photos will also be available for sale on the night of the shows.

Studio 79 Taster Day!

Following the success of our Open Evening a few months ago, we are excited to announce that we are holding a Taster Day at the Studio, so if you are interested in joining the Studio79 family on the BTEC next year, you can come and try out what a normal day at the studio feels like!

Open Evening!

Last night was the open evening at Studio 79, where we opened our doors for the public to come look around, ask questions about the courses we run at the college, and find out how they can apply for next year.

There were live demonstrations of classes, screenings of excerpts from our Curve show, and the students did a performance to give an insight to what we're currently working on in class!

Some of the parents of the existing students turned up to show their support, but we were very excited about the number of new faces that came to enquire about the college!

The night was such a success, and we can't wait for the open days later in the year so people can come and try out the classes instead of just watch, and get a true insight to what it's like to be apart of the Studio 79 family!

Studio 79 Open Evening!

We are excited to announce that Studio 79 will be having an open evening at the studio next week on Monday the 24th September!

The evening is an ideal opportunity to come check out the studio, meet the faculty and discover what goes on at the studio on a daily basis! Whilst here, you can learn more about the courses that we have on offer and see the current students in action with samples from their classes. Should you, your child or someone you know, aged 16+ be interested in joining our family next year on the National Diploma, Extended Diploma or on the HND, you are able to register your details with us ready for the next enrolment process!!

Leicester Pride Ball 2012

A few weeks ago, we were approached to collaborate with Barrie Stephens Hair Salon to put on a cabaret performance at the 2012 Leicester Pride Masquerade Ball, held at the City Rooms in Leicester.

The evening was brilliant, and featured performances from various local artists and Ceri Dupree!

Here is some footage from the show and some photos we took backstage whilst warming up and rehearing at the venue.

The performance and the night was a huge success and we look forward to working with Barrie Stephens again.

New Term Begins!

The new college term has now started, and all the new students are settling in at the studio nicely. The atmosphere here is buzzing, not only from all the hard work the students are doing, but from talk about the exciting changes that are taking place here at Studio 79!
